Kitten Vaccination Schedule
Before begining vaccinations on your new kitten, a Feline Leukemia test should be performed. Kittens will then begin their vaccination series at six weeks of age and should continue receiving vaccinations at 3 week intervals until they reach twelve weeks of age. This will allow your kitten's immune system to produce enough immunity to fight off infectious diseases. If you have adopted or accquired an older cat with an unknown history, then it is recommended to test them for both Feline Leukemia and FIV prior to begining their vaccination series.
Checking kittens for worms and deworming them properly helps the kitten grow, and use it's food better. It also prevents diarrhea, which often occurs in kittens with intestinal worms.
This schedule should by kept as close as possible so that we can properly immunize your kitten. Proper timing of vaccinations is important. We will send you periodic reminders in the mail. Below is the schedule we recommend:
