City of Mobile

Every dog living in Mobile's city limits over three months of age are required to be licensed. The license fees are:

• Unspayed/unneutered dogs: $15.00
• Spayed/neutered dogs: $3.00
• Senior citizens 65 or older:
  
  • Unspayed/unneutered dogs: $3.00
  • Spayed/neutered dogs: $1.50

Proof of age is required. Licensing is now due on the citizens' anniversary month. For instance, if you purchase/renew your license in April, your license needs to be renewed the following April. $10 late fee applies for late renewal.

Registering by Mail, please include:

• A self addressed stamped envelope
• Current Rebies Vaccination Certificate
• Proof that your pet has been spayed or neutered (if applicable)
• If paying by check: make it payable to City of Mobile Animal Shelter
• Include a brief description of your pet, including his/her name

Registering in person at the animal shelter, please bring:

• Current Rebies Vaccination Certificate
• Proof that your pet has been spayed or neutered (if applicable)
• If paying by credit card: credit card number, expiration date, and 3 digit CCV code on the back
